About Me

Hi, I am Ganga Chinna Rao Devarapu. I work as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Cork Institute of Technology.

Background

During the day, I work on photonic integrated circuits, exploring the frontiers of light-based technologies. At night, I indulge in building cool devices and sometimes breaking consumer gadgets just for fun, although I manage to put them to good use at times.

Research and Work

As a researcher at Cork Institute of Technology, I focus on advancing the field of photonics. My work is primarily centered on photonic integrated circuits, which hold the potential to revolutionize the way we process and transmit information. I’m also passionate about experimenting with new ideas and devices, often combining my professional expertise with my personal hobbies.

Hobbies and Interests

When I'm not immersed in research, I spend my time working on DIY electronic projects and 3D-printing. I enjoy taking apart consumer devices to understand how they work—sometimes for fun, and sometimes to repurpose them for new uses.
